Service was friendly, but unless this is an area that you're used to being in, be ready for a cultural experience. The dining room is closed, so other than three small tables, most people take away their food. The window where you order is behind bulletproof glass. There are also multiple stickers in the door that advertise buying cars with or without titles. That certainly helps you understand the vibe of the surrounding area... Nonetheless, I did feel relatively safe (albeit I dined at about 1pm during a weekday). Prices are reasonable and portions are large. There is a vast menu to choose from. Note that they do charge for water.

We've been impressed with the exceptional quality of their half a lamb, which we've ordered twice. The meat is consistently delicious, tender and literally melts in your mouth. Our guests have loved it just as much as we do.

Had lunch from here for the first time. I had a looseburger with squeeze cheese and fries. My daughter also bought a breakfast special, 3 coney dogs with everything, and an order of chili cheese fries. The ladies were nice and the food was really good! The last time I had loose burger from the place down the street it was swimming in grease at the bottom of the container. This was very good not greasy and no heartburn. Next time just don't overcook my fries.

During my 50 before 50 challenge, I made sure to visit the iconic 8 Mile Grill in Detroit. I ordered their delicious French toast, bacon and eggs, and hash browns. It was a satisfying experience worth recommending to food and travel enthusiasts like me!

I love this coney! The best on the west! I usually get a chicken delight but today I picked a different gyro. The burgers and chicken are also good. The employees are usually nice.

Four words. 8 mile grill pita. You won't regret it. I sub steak for my chicken for the same price and then I disappear into ecstasy. It's reasonably priced for its size, cooked to order, and worth up to a 20 minute cross town drive. The savory blend of cheeses, peppers, bacon, meat, pita...you can't get this just anywhere. It's 4 stars instead of 5 because of the service. One girl is sooooooo nice but the other is terrible!! 24 hours makes this a great choice after a long morning at work or a long night out.
